but every Hawaiian Islands is beautiful

and unique in its own way.

Out of the existing 13 micro-climates

 on the face of the earth,

11 of them can be found on

The Golf Capitol of the Hawaiian Islands

also happens to be the Big Island.

The Hamaku Waterfalls along Hawaii's 

coastline are equally spectacular.

You can also visit Volcano National Park

or swim with Manta Rays in Kona!

My Journey of self discovery and Hawaiian adventure 

will be on Amazon soon, in paperback.

I went with an 8X10 format because it reduces 

the total number of pages printed.

It is a thin book, but it came out great!

At a more standard format of 5.5X8.5 the book 

would have cost over $15 just to produce as a 

print on demand. I want to charge as little as possible

to pass the savings on to my friends and

family around the world.

As an additional value, I have added eight

photos to the print version that were not in the

 kindle or epub versions. Also, all of the photos 

are much larger and of a higher quality.

It will be great to see my dream 

of being a published author,

realized in print!

all of my fellow USMC brothers in arms.

I served in the Marines from 1996 until 2002.

I served two enlistments and two tours overseas.

I worked as an Aviation Electrical Tech.

on Huey and Cobra Helicopters.

Ooorah!

Aloha Joe's First Successful Spear Fishing Trip

I actually got my first fish today while spearfishing. 

My first shot was successful.  

I shot a nine inch long convict tang. 

I was really surprised, as I rarely see tangs that size.

The legal size to take this type of fish is 5 inches.

The picture bellow is of convict tangs on ice at a Hilo Fish Market.

The Hawaiian name for the Convict Tang is Manini.

It isn't exactly going to feed a village, 

but it was fun to get a fish. 

The speargun makes a really cool sound underwater when you fire it. 

This lady gave me a sad look when i came out of the water with a fish on the spear

I said , "What? I'm friggin hungry."

I just cleaned the fish and it has a nice white meat.

It is going to be delicious!

This is me sitting atop the most active volcano in the world!

I moved to the big island of Hawaii a few months back. 

I decided that it was time to finally live the way 

I thought life should be lived, with Aloha! 

I never understood when I was younger that happiness was a  lifestyle choice. 

Now that I understand that I create my own reality with my thoughts,

 I am living a much happier and more fulfilled life. 

I have written a book to try and help those that may still be stuck in their lives.

 This book will help you to understand that your thoughts create your reality. 

You have the power to change your life and I can show you how.

will be available soon as an E-Book 

and then on to printing.

A Big Island Lava Tube

Some of the lava tubes here on the 

Big Island are quite large.

These large tubes remain hollow 

after the lava stops flowing.
